Hello Armenia! EENCE Citizenship Education Eduthon begins in the village of Dsegh

Participants from the cities of Vanadzor, Yerevan, Gyumri, Abovyan and the villages of Margaovit, Shamut and Lorut will spend three days finalising projects aimed at promoting citizenship education in their communities.

On 13 September, Eduthon will host a panel discussion with Armenian and international experts on the challenges for citizenship education in the country and in the region.

The participants will then present their project ideas with which they came to the event.

Next, participants will receive two days of workshops and consultations from an international team of experts who will help them to make their projects more developed and focused on the goal of citizenship education.

The teams that win at Eduthon will receive resources to implement their projects.

The EENCE-Eduthon-2024 is organised by the Eastern European Association for Citizenship Education with the support of the Federal Agency for Civic Education (bpb) at the expense of the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Eduthon in Armenia is organised by the NGO “Women’s Solidarity Space”.

This is the fourth Eduthon organised by EENCE this year. Previously, Edutons were held in GeorgiaPoland and Ukraine. By the end of September, such events will also take place in Moldova and Azerbaijan.

EENCE-Eduthons aims to identify and support the best ideas aimed at promoting citizenship education and democratic values in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine as well as Poland (here the event was held for people from Ukraine and Belarus).
